If you ask Kylie Dakota if she’s found herself, she’d say she’s closer than ever. Certainly closer than where she was when she first started writing songs as a freshman in high school.“I was being bullied and songwriting became a way for me to cope. But it got so bad that my mom had to pull me out of school. My confidence was shattered. That experience became an intrinsic part of how I carried myself, even as an adult. And I’ve been trying to reclaim that bright, powerful girl who first walked through those school doors ever since.”

Growing up in Southern California, Kylie cut her teeth playing in some of Los Angeles’ most famous venues, including the legendary Roxy. Relocating to Nashville in 2019, Kylie immersed herself in the music scene and, in early 2021, met producer Daniel Agee, leading to a 3-song recording project which perfectly captures the essence of Kylie Dakota’s sound. With her soul in country music, while also taking sonic inspiration from artists like Shania Twain, Stevie Nicks, and Britney Spears, Kylie Dakota is carving out a lane all her own.
